Welcome to the Murājaʿa community.
Murājaʿa exists to help people learn Arabic in a respectful, welcoming and faith-conscious environment. These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect from everyone using the Service, especially when interacting with other learners through community features such as Practice Video Calls.
By using Murājaʿa, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service.
Failure to follow these Guidelines may result in warnings, suspension or permanent removal from Murājaʿa.
We ask every learner to help create a community that is:

Murājaʿa is an educational platform.
Community features exist to help learners improve their Arabic.
Please keep conversations focused on:
Always treat other learners with respect.
You must not:
Everyone deserves to feel safe while using Murājaʿa.
Practice Video Calls are provided solely to help learners practise spoken Arabic.
They are not intended for:
Please use the feature only for educational purposes.
Practice Video Calls are available only to users who are at least 18 years old.
Your date of birth is used to determine eligibility.
Providing an incorrect date of birth in order to gain access to Practice Video Calls is a breach of our Terms of Service and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.
Murājaʿa offers optional gender-specific Practice Video Call matching to support users who prefer to learn in gender-specific environments, including for religious or personal reasons.
Users are expected to provide accurate account information.
If you intentionally provide incorrect gender information to bypass these safeguards or gain access to restricted matching groups, your account may be suspended or permanently terminated.
For your own safety, please do not share personal information during conversations.
Do not ask another user for:
Likewise, avoid sharing your own personal contact details with other users.
Murājaʿa is not a dating platform.
You must not:
Behaviour that makes another user uncomfortable may result in suspension, even if no explicit rule has been broken.
Respect the privacy of every learner.
You must not:
Unauthorised recording may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Service.
When participating in Murājaʿa, you agree not to:
Only upload learning materials that you have the legal right to use.
Do not upload copyrighted material unless you have permission or another lawful basis for doing so.
You remain responsible for all content that you upload.
If you encounter behaviour that violates these Guidelines, please report it to us.

Depending on the seriousness of the issue, we may:
Serious or repeated breaches may result in immediate account termination without prior warning.
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time.
The latest version will always be available within Murājaʿa.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
